MQ-8B Fire scout in 1/72

We will release soon a model of MQ-8B Fire Scout UAV Helicopter US Navy drone in 1/72 scale. MQ-8B is first UAV with VTOL capability. It is operated since 2010 on board of ships and in land bases in Afghanistan.
Our MQ-8B kit is completely designed in 3D CAD technology and 3D printed from file. Set contains resin parts, photoetched parts and decals. It is specially designed for easy cut out of casting blocks and perfect fit. Kit features alternate weapon arrangement (APKWS and Viper Strike) and markings. options.
Kit release is planned in following one-two weeks. We are waiting for decals to be printed only.

What next in catapult bussiness?

We are thinking about next 1:72 scale catapult models. As the P-6 USN 1:72 scale catapult was released a year ago now is a time to prepare something new.

There are three options:

DKM Bismarck - everybody knows that aircraft with Swastica sells well. Unfortunately our company is not targeted at average modelers. We try to do someting special for naval aviation fans.

CAM -ship - a British merchant with catapult for Hurricane. A very big kit, with war battered Hurry is something I can not resist.

IJN Yamato - biggest one Battleship ever. Plastic catapult was already released by Fujimi I think.

Fantastic Navy airplane models

Today I recommend another website with excellent built naval aircraft models. It is Diego Quijano blog. Diego is spanish modeller from Tenerife.

First model is fantastic Fujimi 1:72 scale F-18 in Spanish markings. Very tasteful camouflage scheme of former VFA127 adversary airplane repainted slightly in Spanish Aviation service. Noteworthy are almost all scratch built interior details including cockpit, avionics bays and gun bay.

Second model is 1:72 scale Eduard Hellcat built almost out of the box. As usual painting work is excellent.

Navy planes and pilots

We recommend this blog. You can find there a lot of interestings photos of people, planes and other equipment, all in high resolution.

For example, I found a photo of SBD with two Mk 17 depth charges lately.

Navy colors on B-25H

Link to fantastic site! For those who wanted to built B-25 (PBJ-1H) in navy colors:VMB613

On the photos you can see the way planes changed due to the weather and local condition (volcanic sand) and field modifications (strafing guns and upper turret removal, rocket rails addition). To convert Hasegawa Mitchell to this Marines squadron PBJ-H we need to scratch radar on right wing. Maybe it would be a future project for ATTACK SQUADRON:)
